TDI provided pre-transaction due diligence and risk intelligence to a sustainability fund that was considering acquiring wind power assets and future development rights in Brazil. The combined assets represented the fund’s first sustainable infrastructure investments in South America.

TDI identified potential conflicts of interests and compliance risks associated with real estate investments that were critical to the overall valuation of the project. We also investigated and mapped the political connections of a potential limited partner in the transaction.

Our reporting allowed the fund’s deal team to assess potential corruption risks and to successfully negotiate with the local public utility regarding tolling and tariff agreements to aid discussions related to final investment decision (FID).
