For over five years, TDI assisted a renewable energy company with managing the compliance risks associated with expanding their solar power, wind, battery, and geothermal assets in Europe and the Americas.
For this engagement, we conducted hundreds of due diligence investigations on local partners, suppliers, and landowners in remote and rural areas, as well as potential management team candidates and directors. The investigations included accessing local civil and business records in remote locations and reviewing social media profiles in multiple languages.
Our reporting identified a range of reputational and compliance risks as well as potential new commercial opportunities for the client’s portfolio of technology and power generation applications. We assisted the client with risk mitigation efforts related to local political and transactions risks, and negotiations with high-risk counterparties.
