A private equity fund approached TDI for risk intelligence and due diligence services as it considered investments in conventional and renewable power generation assets in Sub-Saharan Africa. TDI provided a range of services throughout the investment lifecycle—starting with geopolitical assessments to guide market entry, followed by due diligence services and our third-party risk management platform—to help the multi-billion-dollar emerging markets fund understand its above-ground-risks.  

Throughout project development, our risk intelligence and human-source due diligence guided Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) engagement with local officials and community stakeholders. We also conducted pre-transaction due diligence to support the client’s acquisition of power generation assets and to assess potential joint venture relationships.    

Additionally, TDI worked with the fund’s counsel to design, develop, and deploy our compliance technology solution, TDI Diligence Suite, to support the onboarding of local content labor and other third parties critical to each project.
